Serengeti national park rules like any other national park in the world are formulated and managed by the Wildlife Authority governing body and in Tanzania its Tanzania National Park Authority. First and fore most is the opening and closing time of the entry to the park. All guests, locals, tour operators and other group of people should be aware that all the Serengeti national park gates open as early as 6:00am and close at 6:00pm. Entrance or exit of the park before or after the time is not allowed unless the park authorities are notified early.

Another key Serengeti national park rules is that all drivers must observe a maximum speed limit while inside the park. This is to reduce on the accidents of the wildlife while in the park. The speed limit is 50 kilometers per hour.

Off tracking is prohibited. No safari car is allowed to off track unless they are researching group have got permission from the park authority.

Feeding of animals in the park is prohibited. If you are got feeding the wildlife at any cost will be penalized from coming back to Serengeti national park. We want the wildlife to remain in their natural habitant not animals to act like in a zoo. All the experience of wildlife is based on the natural setting hence not affecting their natural behavior at the park.

For all camping safaris, guests are only allowed to do camping in public designated camping areas. All the camps are guarded by the park rangers or authority.

Smoking is completely not allowed inside the park especially during game drives. You can only smoke in your lodge or camp in designated smoking zone. This is to avoid any risk of wildlife fires in Serengeti national park.

No fire arms are allowed inside the park. All guests or driver guides are not allowed to carry any fire arms inside the park.

Littering is not accepted. Act responsibly for the protection and conservation of nature by dropping your litter in dust bins that are stationed in different parts of the park.

No pets are allowed to enter in to the park. The park is a home of wildlife only no domestic animals are allowed to enter in to the park.

No hooting, noise, shouting, phone calls and other noise producing aspect are allowed inside the park. This cause interference in the daily activities of the park.

Guests or driver guides are not allowed to imitate the wildlife. Wildlife communicate in different ways which we can not understand well, imitating them can make them charge at you and cause danger in your life.

Animals have a right of way, when animals are crossing the driver must give them chance to cross before you drive. By doing so we are respecting nature and making it friendly to us also.

During game drives, only a maximum of 5 safari cars are allowed to surround one animal especially the big cats like Lions, Cheetahs and leopards. The safari cars should live for others in an interval of 10 minutes to allow others also a chance to experience wildlife. These allows the animal to remain calm acting in its natural moods without charging.

Guests or drivers must observe the maximum distance between the safari car and the wildlife. All cars must be at a distance of 100 meters away from the animal unless the animal comes to your car by itself.

Taking of animal or plant specimen in the park is completely not allowed. Only research guests who have been cleared by the park authorities are allowed to do so but in accordance with the Serengeti national park rules.

All guests must clear their park entry fees, concession fees and other relevant fees before entering to the park. The park fees can be prepaid from any bank or paid by credit card directly at the park gates

No cash is allowed or received at any park gates for paying any park activity by guests.

The park entry fees and concession fees expire in every 24 hours if the guest is staying inside the park but if staying outside the park fees expire as soon as you cross the gate out.
